Pairing a speed sensor with your GPS cycling computer will let you track your speed regardless of your GPS signal. Before, speed sensors required you to have a magnet pass by a sensor in order to read the speed, but now with the Garmin Speed Sensor 2, that’s a thing of the past. The Speed Sensor 2 installs on the front or rear wheel and requires no magnets. It is ANT+ and Bluetooth Low Energy compatible so you can sync it with your Garmin or smartphone.
